How long does a laptop repair take?

Most common repairs such as screen replacements, keyboard repairs, and battery replacements are completed within 1–3 working days. More complex faults involving logic boards or liquid damage may take longer. We'll give you an estimate when you bring it in or contact us.

Do you offer a no fix, no fee guarantee?

Yes. If we can't repair your laptop, you won't be charged for the repair. A diagnostic fee may apply in some cases — we'll advise you upfront.

My laptop won't turn on. Can you repair it?

Yes. A laptop that won't power on could have a faulty charger port, failed power rail on the motherboard, dead battery, or other issues. We diagnose the root cause before quoting.

Do you repair all laptop brands?

Yes — we service all major brands including Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, MSI, Toshiba, Samsung, and more.

Can I mail in my laptop?

Yes. We accept mail-in repairs from anywhere in Australia. See our 'How to Send Your Laptop' guide for packaging instructions and our shipping address.

How much does a laptop screen replacement cost?

Screen replacement pricing varies by brand, model, and screen type (HD, FHD, IPS, OLED). Contact us with your model number for an accurate quote.

My screen has lines or is flickering — do I need a full replacement?

Not always. Lines and flickering can sometimes be caused by a loose display cable rather than a faulty screen. We diagnose before recommending a replacement.

Can you replace a touchscreen laptop display?

Yes, we replace touchscreen panels on supported laptop models. Pricing depends on screen availability for your specific model.

Some keys on my keyboard aren't working — can that be fixed?

Yes. Individual key failures can sometimes be repaired, but in many cases a full keyboard replacement is the most reliable fix. We'll advise which is appropriate for your model.

My trackpad isn't clicking or responding — what's the cause?

A swollen battery pressing against the trackpad is a common cause, as is a loose cable or trackpad hardware failure. We diagnose and repair all three scenarios.

My laptop won't charge — is it the charger or the port?

Either can cause this issue. We test both the charger and the DC charging port. Port replacement is a common repair and is usually straightforward.

How long does a laptop battery last before it needs replacing?

Most laptop batteries last 2–4 years with regular use. Signs it needs replacing include short battery life, failure to charge to 100%, unexpected shutdowns, or a visibly swollen battery.

I spilled liquid on my laptop — what should I do?

Turn it off immediately, disconnect the charger, and do not attempt to turn it back on. Bring it to us as soon as possible. The faster we can clean the corrosion, the better the outcome.

Can a liquid-damaged laptop be repaired?

Often yes, depending on which components were affected and how quickly it was brought in. We assess the damage and advise on whether repair is viable and cost-effective.

My laptop is very slow — should I repair or replace it?

In many cases, an SSD upgrade and RAM increase can dramatically improve performance on older laptops at a fraction of the cost of a new machine. We can advise based on your model.

Can you remove viruses and malware?

Yes. We perform thorough virus and malware removal and can harden your system to prevent future infections.

Can you reinstall Windows or Linux on my laptop?

Yes. We reinstall operating systems on all laptop brands and can migrate your existing data to the fresh installation.
